Less than a month to go till The Green Dragon opens its mouth to Concrete Market! It's a marvellous huge pub on the high street in Croydon - live jazz is on upstairs in the afternoon, lovely food and bar open as normal and non scowling at children. Hoorah! Come, spend and be festive!

This week in Croydon along with the rest of the county has been truly devastating. Jack Oughton has taken some stunning images of the day after the night before - they will be on show and prints on sale with proceeds going to one of the charities helping riot victims.

Well, it's July and on September 4th will be the first Concrete Market and also the first of this sort of malarky that Croydon has seen. Am excited and hugely scared.... The venue is The Oval Tavern - most known for being a music venue and Jeremy and Marks drinking hole in Peep Show.

I've been thinking about starting up something like this round these parts for a year now but never had the push - was looking at another pub and it never felt right, sometimes what you're looking for is right in front of you - literally - it's over the road from me.

Treats by The Aviary

The market will be a small but fab mix of designer makers, artists and vintage - one of my favourite artists The Aviary are on board and I'm over the moon, I'd travel half way across London to see their gems. I'll be previewing all the sellers in the upcoming weeks so please keep clicking in.

This isn't a local fair for local people this is a darn good market for those to venture to!
